Recognized for Excellence in Concrete
The American Concrete Institute Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Chapter has selected the Paul VI Catholic High School project for the 2019 Excellence in Concrete (Low-Rise) Merit Award!
The Excellence in Concrete Awards distinguish projects with significant architectural, technical or sustainable concepts and creative, unique and effective uses of concrete. This award specifically recognizes Century's innovative construction of three pedestrian bridges. The bridges were originally specified as precast; however, due to schedule and fabrication restraints, our team cast the bridges on the building’s slab-on-grade and later lifted them into place, similar to the tilt-up construction method.
